Couples tend to book me up to 12-18 months in advance of their wedding. If you are interested in me shooting your big day, especially if it’s on a peak weekend date, please don't delay as I don’t like to disappoint people. I often wish there were 10 of me so I could attend everyone's special day.
I do not conduct site visits. Simply on the basis that I am very quick on thinking on my feet. Before we go away for photos I will do a location scout on the day in order to get the best spots. A lot of this also depends on lighting. I choose the best spots which showcase the best light that's available on the day.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to discuss your plans.
If you decide to book, please email me with your chosen package. I will then send you an online quote, which includes the contract and booking fee invoice.
Once both are completed, your date is officially secured. Please note I do not hold or reserve dates. I will be transparent if someone enquires for your date.
In order to secure your date a booking fee of £1,000 is required, along with a signed contract, and then the remainder of the balance is due 8 weeks before the wedding date.
No, I do not offer discounts on any of my packages. I aim to capture your wedding in a stylishly candid and timeless way so that your memories of your incredible day stay fresh in your mind; my images will become hundreds of everlasting gifts for generations to enjoy.
No, unfortunately this isn't something I make available to my couples. Firstly, the files are huge, secondly, many of the RAW images end up being outtakes, and finally, they look nothing like the final result. A huge amount of love and effort goes into creating and curating your final gallery of images.
I do not put a limitation on final delivery. Minimum for a full day is 700. I also provide all my couples with black/white and colour images.
You will receive your preview gallery within a week of your wedding. This is usually over 50 images. The final gallery turn around time is 8 weeks.
We use 35mm film. This is an additional add on for your wedding. We use up to 3 rolls for a wedding day. Additional rolls can be provided upon request.
Following on from the wedding. On the next available working day Jessica will send your film scans to the lab. The scanning/developing process can take up to 7 working days. As soon as these are available, Jessica-Lily will save them into your gallery.
No — I only photograph one wedding per day to give my full focus and energy to your celebration.
I don’t offer shorter coverage. I take on a limited number of weddings each year, and my focus is on full-day storytelling from start to finish.
All packages include up to 10 hours of consecutive coverage.
Yes - It tends to be myself or Steve. In the rare event I cannot attend, I will arrange for a trusted associate photographer to cover your day.
Absolutely — we all share the same goal of capturing your day beautifully, and I genuinely enjoy collaborating with other creatives. That said, if other suppliers have arranged for their own content creator or videographer to document their work, I must be informed in advance. This ensures we can plan accordingly and avoid disruption to the flow of the day. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any gaps in coverage caused by interference from other individuals capturing content. As stated in my contract, I am the sole professional photographer permitted to document the couple on the day.
That’s entirely your choice. I recommend an ‘unplugged’ ceremony so you see faces — not phones — as you walk down the aisle.
Yes — I have full public liability insurance (up to £10 million) and professional indemnity insurance.
Travel is included. If your venue is more than two hours from my postcode, accommodation costs will be added.
Yes — I cover weddings throughout the UK.
Yes — every image you receive is fully edited in house.
You’ll receive both a colour gallery and a full black-and-white gallery.
If you’d like a second photographer, this can be added to your package. I work only with trusted professionals, including Steve and other photographers whose style aligns with mine.
We embrace it! I always suggest having a ‘Plan B’ just in case, but rain can create beautiful, romantic moments. Remember — you only get this day once, so lean into it and enjoy every moment.
Yes — each photographer requires a hot meal, which your catering team can usually arrange.
I describe my style as docu-torial — a blend of documentary storytelling with a touch of editorial artistry.
I focus mainly on natural, candid moments that reflect your relationship. I’ll give gentle direction when needed, helping with posture and suggesting creative ideas while keeping everything authentic to you.
Absolutely. I recommend keeping the list to your nearest and dearest so the process stays efficient while still capturing beautiful, timeless family portraits.
Yes — these are available exclusively for couples who have booked me for their wedding.
Experience and preparation are key here. I carry professional low-light lenses, camera flash, and additional lighting equipment so I can adapt to any situation. I also know how to work with available light creatively, so whether it’s a softly lit candlelit ceremony or a bright sunny day, your images will be exposed correctly and atmospheric.
I work closely with you (and your planner, if you have one) to create a realistic timeline that allows breathing room for photography without adding stress. If things run behind on the day, I adapt quickly and prioritise key moments so nothing important is missed.
I use a combination of both approaches. For family group shots and any specific requests, I’ll work from a clear list. I don’t tend to follow detailed shot lists for the rest of the day, as my documentary approach means I’m always nearby and ready to capture moments as they naturally unfold. If there’s something specific planned or an important moment I should be aware of, just let me know so I can be sure to capture it.
I keep portrait sessions short and efficient so you can get back to enjoying your day. The rest of the time, I work discreetly in the background, capturing natural moments as they happen. This way, you get a mix of relaxed portraits and genuine candid images.
Yes. I make sure to photograph all the thoughtful details you’ve worked hard to plan before the celebrations begin. These images add depth to your wedding story and are lovely to look back on. To do this well, I’ll need enough time built into your timeline before guests arrive so I can capture everything without rushing. However, if there is a second shooter included in the booking we can work simultaneously and will have more flexibilty.
While my core style is consistent, I’m highly adaptable. For formal weddings, I work more closely with timelines and structured portraits. For relaxed weddings, I take a softer, more unobtrusive approach. Either way, I make sure your images reflect the atmosphere of your day.
I love natural light for its beauty and authenticity, but I’m equally confident using flash when needed — for example, during evening receptions or in low-light conditions. I use it subtly so it never feels harsh or intrusive. Please let me know if you have flash sensitive epilepsy, I want to ensure you are safe and comfortable.
I approach each wedding with fresh eyes. Your personalities, your venue, your details, and your guests all influence how I photograph and edit your day. It’s always a 50/50 effort — you bring your authenticity and energy, and I’ll document it truthfully. My goal is to create a gallery that feels unmistakably yours, not like anyone else’s.
I use professional Sony mirrorless cameras, top-quality lenses, and lighting gear. I always carry multiple camera bodies, backup lenses, and duplicate memory cards.
Absolutely. I have backups for every piece of essential equipment, so even if something fails, I can continue without interruption.
Before the day, we divide our responsibilities. For example, I might focus on the couple and key moments while my second shooter covers guest reactions and alternative angles. We’ve worked together many times, so our approach is seamless.
Sometimes, usually for larger weddings or when lighting setups are required. This ensures I can work quickly and efficiently without missing a beat.
I research the venue thoroughly, looking at floor plans, images, and sun positioning for your date.
I allow generous travel time between venues and plan routes in advance. My gear is packed so I can set up quickly at each location without slowing the day down. Where possible, I recommend travelling with the wedding party between locations so I’m with you at all times. This helps avoid any logistical delays and ensures I can capture every moment as it happens.
Communication is key. I liaise directly with your planner or coordinator before and on the day so we’re all working towards the same schedule.
I edit in collections, ensuring tones, colours, and contrast remain consistent while still adapting to the natural changes in lighting throughout the day.
I back up your images in three places , on dual memory cards during shooting, on my main editing system, and on secure external drive and a cloud drive. This means your photographs are safe from the moment they’re taken. I always recommend you download the full gallery yourself and store it onto your own back up system for safe measure.
I make small adjustments where possible, like removing stray hair, distracting background items, or blemishes, but I keep my edits natural so your images remain authentic.
I give gentle guidance rather than strict posing, encouraging you to focus on each other rather than the camera. I keep sessions short and relaxed so it never feels overwhelming. The key is building a relationship with me before the wedding so I’m a familiar face on the day it makes a huge difference to how comfortable and natural you’ll feel in front of the camera.
A wedding day is so exciting and people will naturally want an opportunity to be photographed with you. I politely keep us on track while making sure everyone feels included. My approach is firm/informative but friendly to ensure we get the images you want without unnecessary delays.
I adapt on the spot, focusing on key priorities first. I’ll also communicate with you so we can adjust expectations without adding stress.
